(With apologies to Mr. Ayers for the hyperbole) An event filled weekend. First of all, I did something that I rarely do. I went out for the evening. I'm something of a homebody largely because my job and my kids pretty much run me into the ground by the time the weekend rolls around. I do go out once in a while with friends or dinner with the wife but those are rather infrequent. On Saturday I was invited to a beer tasting. That's enough to get me motivated and out of the house for once. The twist here is that the host of said beer tasting was hosted by Don Viti (Yes I know I'm breaking my own rule but more on that in a moment). De la Where has a rant about wealthy and class envy. As usual, he's oversimplifying things to the point of straw man. So in essence you are saying that I should get over my envy and become that which I despise? That's a clear indication that you despise rich people. Liberals are supposed to be all about nuance but you paint rich people with the broadest brush possible. Are there no rich people who are not worthy of spite? If not, why not? Is there something intrinsically wrong with being rich? That I should reward my self with enormous sums of money and force my employees to be squeezed financially more and more for my own gain? De La Where has a post called It is time to enforce the laws! It's a commentary about the illegal immigration issue. That DV is able to even call it illegal immigration and not "undocumented worker" or something is a good sign. However, things go downhill thereafter. I wouldn't say I have a strong opinion on the matter I would just say that the GOP bullshit about them braking the law and they need to be punished/sent back home is nauseating and so blatantly obvious to be political appeasement that I have to have an opinion.
