New OBL Tape: Iraq, Democratic Control

New OBL Tape: Iraq, Democratic Control . Seriously, take out one reference to his confession about 9/11 and you'd never know if this was one of the posters at HuffPo, Kos, DU or DelawareLiberal. Update: 9.10.2007 DelawareLiberal isn't happy with me for this one. I should be clear here. I am not putting liberals on any sort of moral plane with bin Laden. I do not think they are wishing for mass slaughter of anyone let alone Americans. Rather, my point was that bin Ladens rambling rhetoric sounds much like Noam Chomsky, Kos, DU et al. The difference between my comparison and those made by the Left between Hitler and Bush is one of substance. They compare the two and put their goals, aims, actions and rhetoric on the same plane. A distinction with a difference. I did miss one point in bin Laden's speech that I'd like to point out. He's advocating lower tax rates than nearly any Republican candidate running for office in 2008: "There are no taxes i

New York Times Moonbattery

Iraq is a long way to go for a photo op, but not for President Bush, who is pulling out all the stops to divert public attention from his failed Iraq policies and to keep Congress from demanding that he bring the troops home. That's right, he's diverting attention from Iraq by... visiting Iraq!

Thieves hit squad cars

Thieves hit squad cars, officers’ homes to steal weapons, expensive equipment . That's right, things have become so lawless in DC that they've taken to burglarizing police cars. This is our nations capitol. Hang your head in shame America.

Daily Roundup

Classical Values asks "when is enough enough?" I think he makes some cogent points but I think he's missing something. The people who are annoyed or otherwise uncomfortable with 9/11 memorials are uncomfortable with the idea that there are people who are actively working to kill us all. Not just one person that they have a personal grudge with, or that they're merely happy to be left to chant angry slogans and burn American flags in their country. Rather, they really, truly do want to kill us. Not to get any sort of concession or because of some foreign policy or other but just because we're infidels. That's a very upsetting thing but it's reality. Something a great many people don't want to own up to. These guys claim to have an idea to replace batteries with capacitors. I'll wait and see on this one. Insty has a link to this story . He points to this as a indication of a lack of confidence in civil authority. This, as he notes,

Clarity of Analysis

A must read over at In From The Cold Clarity of Analysis excerpt: In other words, Americans combat deaths in Iraq has dropped by almost 50% over the past three months--while the number of troops in harm's way has increased (the surge hit its peak less than two weeks ago), with a corresponding spike in our operational tempo.

Nesting dolls...

Quite a day for irony. Another great one.

Clowns KKKick KKK ass!

In what has to be a sure sign of the coming apocalypse I agree with Indymedia. Essentially, a bunch of clowns (in the form of white supremacists) were protested by a bunch of people dressed as circus clowns. I'm torn between ignoring white supremacists and mocking them. This one makes me think that mocking them is probably the better course b/c they take themselves so seriously. Well done!
