Was there a terrorist probe onboard American Airlines Flight 62?

Reading the link I'd be hard pressed to come to another conclusion. I am surprised none of the passengers left their seats when this was happening. (I'll refrain from noting that the plane was coming from France).

Mars Melt Hints at Solar, Not Human, Cause for Warming. The cracks in the monolith of man made global warming continue apace. This is long overdue. We ought to be vigorously debating this not dismissing people who disagree. The implications are staggering and the sacrifices we're being asked to make to end this are similarly massive. To simply accept this as fact and steamroll everyone who disagrees is dangerous. We're still have people debating evolution. Should they be shouted down? No.

Whether or not we should be moving towards environmentally friendly power sources is a separate question. Simply for reasons of stewardship and quality of life. By not only punishing those who pollute but rewarding those who create clean energy.

Miracle baby comes back from the dead. This may make some people re-evaluate abortion timing. Not many, mind you, but some. Thank God this kid survived.

Glenn Greenwald is the three most hypocritical men on the planet. Comments matter, except when they don't. My view: They do matter but they are not always indicative of the views of the blogger. I can police my comment(s). Someone like Kos or Instapundit (if he had them) wouldn't be able to. There'd be entirely too many of them.

Johnathan Chait has an epiphany. I would love to see it happen. Seriously, that would be awesome.

The Economist takes Algore to the woodshed.

QATAR — In a small but significant trend, Christian employees of corporations and universities are volunteering to work in far-flung countries with strong Muslim majorities. Their goal: To enjoy the comparatively clean moral environment those countries offer.

I've heard this line before. Social conservatives believe that traditional Islam is actually a natural ally of American conservatives. (Contrast with radical Islam that's at war with everyone else). It is also at the heart of D'Souza's arguments. That is, the world splits more along conservative/liberal lines than along political or geographic ones. Perhaps the increased access to global information will hasten that alignment.

"We feel a kinship with our Muslim neighbors," says the mother. "There's an innocence. Yes, we disagree on spiritual things, but there's no blatant sexuality on TV, no condoning perverse behavior. This is like America in the 1950s, and that's the environment we want to raise our children in."

There is a growing meme that Sunni Islam is the locus of rulebound radical Islam whereas Shia represents the philosophical, tolerant Islam. That Iran, the heart of Shia Islam, is in the grip of fundamentalists is more reflective of their relative position to their neighbors than anything.

In an attempt to out-hypocrite Algore (no mean feat), George Soros
buys millions of Halliburton Stock.

Canadians can never again say that America is run by lunatics. Especially when their former defense minister says href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070228/od_afp/canadaenvironmentkyoto_070228180440">UFO science key to halting climate change.

"I would like to see what (alien) technology there might be that could eliminate the burning of fossil fuels within a generation ... that could be a way to save our planet," Paul Hellyer, 83, told the Ottawa Citizen.

Just wow.
