SURE! LET'S LET EVERYONE ASSEMBLE!

I see that the National Right to Assemble is at it again; proving once more that, N R A stands of Non-Rational A*******. Most of us know that NRA types love their meetings, because it’s a substitute for caressing their having friends. They are literally circle jerk-offs. They are trying to destroy the country’s sensible crowd control laws, probably because they want to play out their John Wayne hero fantasies.

Apprarently, according to the N R A, if you don’t have a felony record, you are automatically an upstanding citizen, and all you need is a little training in the mechanics of crowd control, coupled with a few hours of megaphone instruction, and, you can be cut loose on humanity with a loudspeaker at you side. I got news for the N R A, and, any other idiot who thinks that more megaphones in the home or, on the street are necessary. You will soon discover that it will cause many more horrible problems than it will solve. Not having a felony record doesn’t mean a person has not committed a felony. It could mean that you just didn’t get caught at it. It doesn’t even mean that you are normal…and it certainly doesn’t mean that you have what it takes to assemble a crowd. In fact, not having a felony record, still leaves room for the possibility that a person could be a complete whacko nut-job; just waiting to be a disaster. Yet, if the NRA has its way, any man or woman who wants a large group of people in one place for any reason at all, can have one…..how’s that grab you?

Take all criminality totally out of the picture. And what you have left is documented problems with assembled groups which happen in this country every single morning, noon and night.
TAKE ALL THESE FOLLOWING DAILY REALITIES, AND MULTIPLY THEM BY TENS OF THOUSANDS A DAY, and then tell me what you think of the N R P proposals. Remember, these results multiplied by tens of thousands of times a day….take a look:
children dying while crowds trample them/large groups of people disrupting traffic and commerce/ cops being forced to kill people whom they know will assemble and not disperse/ fist fights escalating to murder because of fighting words/Foul language hurled about with abandon/Assembled crowds becoming unruly and rioting after sporting events/ undesirable political rallies etc.

THINK FOR A MOMENT….all these things happen now; and they will be multiplied by tens of thousands of times, if the NRA has its way. THINK OF SOME PEOPLE WHOM YOU KNOW PERSONALLY, WHO ARE NOT CONVICTED FELONS, BUT WHO CERTAINLY WOULD BE A DANGER CARRYING A GUN…AND THEN CONSIDER THAT EACH ONE OF THEM WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY A GUN EVERY DAY.
How do you feel about that?
Apparently Vance Packard was thinking of the NRA and its followers, when he wrote; “You can never underestimate the stupidity of the american public”.
Best of luck you NRA fans; you Non-Rational A*******.

Comments

LOL! I saw the original and refrained from commenting since I never served in the military or police force and the author made it clear my opinion would be worthless.

I added a comment to Duffy over an hour ago, it posted but now it is missing, on the GF blog.

GF can talk and win when he controls the microphone, but not a written dialog.

He can not compete, so he deletes.
And bans those whose blogs he disagrees with.

I reposted his comment to Duffy:"Finally…you asked about the purpose of blogs, if not for all opinions…..I love the opportunity of allowing all kinds of opinions…after all, the ignorant, know-nothing, do-nothing, inexperienced nothings all need a place to vent…otherwise they might revert to beating their wives and kids."

So he plans to block my comments!
So he says...

Thanks guys. Yeah, Gerry's not happy with dialog he only wants diatribe. I'm amazed that he freaks out so easily.

Duffy,
Maybe you could post to Gerry?
He could not argue my post, so he deleted it.
All that Bravado, and instead of engaging, he "takes his ball home and ends the game."
Gerry is a Chicken. There, I labeled him.
Maybe you could challenge him to accept all opinions. His belittlement of the Founding Fathers should not go unchallenged.

Paul,

I have challenged him to do exactly that and he said he welcomes all opinions and then dismissed mine. Gerry isn't accustomed to being challenged. You've seen how he responds, it's the written equivalent of yelling and throwing things.

Post here instead!

Duffy,
I'll be back to accept the invite.

Do you know a Don Duffy?

This is for Gerry,
I am sure the creep knows how to lurk.
He wanted a historical entry where our Founding Fathers rejected Slavery. This shows the caution that was necessary, during the formative years of our young Democracy.
Gerry took severe umbrage at my suggestion that slavery was an economic situation,
.
Response to GF's request to show the true story regarding the USA's position on slavery.
It was inherited. And because of our own experiences with Great Britain,
we created this country on individual rights.

Gerry - Your Apology for your despicable comments on Founding Fathers is hereby anticipated.

"I never mean (unless some particular circumstance should compel me to it) to possess another slave by purchase; it being among my first wishes to see some plan adopted, by which slavery in this country may be abolished by slow, sure and imperceptible degrees."—George Washington, September 9, 1786

Prior to the great Revolution, the great majority . . . of our people had been so long accustomed to the practice and convenience of having slaves that very few among them even doubted the propriety and rectitude of it. 1

As the Colonists increasingly recognized that they themselves were slaves of the British Empire, and were experiencing the discomforting effects of such power exercised over them, their commiseration with those enslaved in America began to grow. As one early legal authority explained:

The American Revolution. . . . was undertaken for a principle, was fought upon principle, and the success of their arms was deemed by the Colonists as the triumph of the principle. That principle was. . . . an ardent love of personal liberty, and hence, the very declaration of their political liberty announced as a self-evident truth that all men were created free and equal. 2

Notwithstanding this emerging change in attitude, the response across America on how to end slavery differed widely according to geographical regions. As Thomas Jefferson explained:

Where the disease [slavery] is most deeply seated, there it will be slowest in eradication. In the northern States, it was merely superficial and easily corrected. In the southern, it is incorporated with the whole system and requires time, patience, and perseverance in the curative process. 3

Fulcher is Funny...

All that bullshit and bravado..

His only reply is to someone's personality and experiences.

Just plain character assassination.

His facts and figures are skewed to his own observations. And everyone is dismissed because Gerry knows more than they do.

He should be kept away from children and those with diminished mental capabilities. All he is, is a bully.
