Increased airline costs? Thank a Democrat!

Unions are willing to screw everyone to protect their own jobs. All that stuff we hear about internationalism and multilateralism is for naught if it means the loss of one union job.

Unions are a cancer on America.

I'm not sure you can blame Democrats (don't think I've ever typed that before) for fuel cost increases. Not recently anyway. There are myriad drivers of fuel costs but of late there haven't been any fuel tax increases that I know of.

Greed is indeed a cancer. Unions are, in fact, very different than "corporate pigs" like Lay et al. Unions are designed to extract as much money for as little effort as possible. Sloth + Greed.

Lay et al. are charged with increasing stakeholder value over all. Stock price is king. Their compensation is very heavily weighted towards that end. Even if they act unethically to increase stock price they are still benefiting the owners. That does not excuse what they do, but it is very different. Lay's fraud was directly attributable to illegal and unethical behavior. Unions use the force of law to bleed companies dry. The end result of which is places like Bethlehem and Allentown.

He's been so brazen with his porkbarreling and the whiff of corruption around him has been ripe enough to smell from here. I'd rather have a 100% democrat run Congress if they were ethical. Term limits. One term for Senate, two for the House, one for the President. Some fear that would increase the power of lobbyists. Simple, ban any former members from being lobbyists and limit lobbyists to terms as well. (I'm not sure how that would work. Just a thought.) The other answer is transparency. Black Pope could follow Barack Obama's election, says US archbishop : "The election of Barack Obama as the first African-American US President could pave the way for the election of the first black Pope, according to a leading black American Catholic." Except that we've had three black Popes already. The last one was 1700 years ago. You'd think he know that. I knew we had them in the past.
