Teflon as a health hazard

This article suggests a link between birth defects and c8 polymers which are used in Teflon.

The long and the short of it is this:

"Until the verdict is in, we suggest limiting the use of Teflon-coated pans when possible. "

FWIW, my child's neurologist believes there is a link between teflon and autism. That link is yet unproven but there are studies in the making.

That's the problem with the case here. I doubt we'll ever know because if there's ever any evidence DuPont will stonewall. To do otherwise would invite the John Edwards of the world who would make millions eating them alive.

If it could be proven there's a link and if DuPont truly had no knowledge of that link I would grant them some amnesty to determine just how serious the problem is.
