Some of the stuff I"m dumping here is my crossing swords with a Bushater who styles himself "BlackJack":

>This runour has been fully debunked,
>and is only being propagated
>by nitwits such as yourself.

And nitwits like the guy who treated John Kerry's *ahem* wound.

I'm sure he's just a Karl Rove plant as part of the Bushitler Neocon Chickenhawk Blood-for-oil brigade. (I tried to squeeze in rightwing fundamentalist evangelical Christian but I just couldn't make it work).

Snopes makes no mention of the good Dr.'s comments as they are new.

>Never mind the fact that Kerry
>did win a Silver Star
>and Bronze Star in addition
>to his Purple Hearts (for
>whatever level of injury sustained),
>the more important point is
>simply that he was there.

That is partly the point. I think you'll find that 99.99% of the populace views his service as laudible and honorable. That 1% includes the Chickenhawk CNO Elmo Zumwalt who said that he wanted to put a leash on Kerry b/c he was creating problems by killing so many civilians.

>He's not a draft dodger
>like our current commander in
>chief, and his warmongering (as
>long as it's not their
>blood) inner circle of armchair
>warriors.

*Sigh* I'm not going to rehash the facts regarding Bush's service as you are unlikely to do anything other than plug your ears and sing "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" over and over. So, let's talk about the "Chickenhawk" arguement. Do you really believe it? Should we restrict leadership of the nation to those who have served? Should we also restrict comments about the military (and when to use them) to those who have served? Were such an idea posited by TNR (or other rightwing outlet) you'd be clutching your chest like Redd Foxx talking about "the Big One" and "fascist jackboot" or some such.
